Breakfast on the go.

I admit my intimate affair with my duvet, and that I find it hard to leave him in bed every morning. Due to a series of events that usually take place within the 40mins before I dash out the door, there’s no way I can have my breakfast at a table. So I bring my coffee in a thermos and wrap my pastry in a kitchen towel..

The picture above shows how this usually looks like, food on my lap, coffee in thermo in hand..

Never once thought of giving up breakfast, which is my favourite meal in a day.

Cartoon characters usually don’t have much to do with me ( stuffed toys, on the other hand, have loads.. ), I see them as hyped-up trickery, often fooling me into feeling for their cuteness.. They have a tendancy to make people spend loads of money on getting their merchandises devotedly. It’s a complicated love/hate relationship I don’t want to get myself into.

Moomin / Muumi didn’t use to have much to do with me in my childhood, other than watchig the light blue version of the same hippo like figure in a japenese cartoon series. Until my first two years in art school, I was re-introduced to Tove Jansson’s comic, this time Moomin in White, by my Swedish classmates (yay for EU education). Then it comes the craving for beautiful merchandises made by Arabia and Iittala.. Basically it’s one of those things that open up a brand new sight of Nordic and Scadanavian designs to me.

This particular fluffy Muumi toy was gifted by my friend. Since then, my collection of Muumi item has been gradually growing in number.. To justify this devotional behaviour, I would say I am looking into the Scandanavian aesthetics more than anything else..

There you go, Moomin (in white), as a cartoon character, also as a Nordic and Scandanavia ambassador.

I enjoy the company of my cat, convincing myself to believe that it likes the peace and quiet in my room.

Meanwhile, I would minimise the noise when going about performing different tasks in the room, not interrupting its sweet cat-nap so to keep it here with me as long as I can.

For the lazy cat’s sake, I have been tiptoe-ing around my room whenever it’s napping on my bed.

I found myself becoming more and more aware of sound that would give me and the cat a jump and try to avoid them- the sound of trinkets, the unpleasantness of music on shuffle, dragging of chairs..

Whether the cat appreciates the serene I am learning to embrace, or perhaps cat-naps has nothing to do with quietness.. It makes me happy when it lingers.

I knew about Superheadz’s camera (Tokyo) long before I actually own one. I was suspicious about most point-and -shoot film cameras, esp. Those that are made of plastic. But with Superheadz’s big fat lens, I ‘ve only heard all sort of good things about it from friends who have been using it ill it RIP.

I recently finished its first roll, perhaps I will get it developed this morning and collect the photos bang on when they are ready? No perhaps, it’s a defo.
